The Weapons

The weapons we make are made of PVC pipe, piping insulation and duct tape. Basically you take a piece of pipe, slide some foam on it and wrap it with the duct tape. All weapons must be inspected by myself (Heather), or Allegra before being used in battle. This rule is in place to ensure the safety of everyone who fights with us.

Our group uses many different kinds of weapons. The first weapons were a broadsword, a longsword, two shortswords, a pair of nunchucks (which were eaten by my dog shortly after being made but would now be against the rules anyway), and Bob. It's hard to explain what exactly Bob was when he was first created by Alex. Bob was a long pole with padding on either side, although the padding was longer on one side than on the other. Allegra quickly adopted this weapon and stripped off the longer padding thus creating the first pole-arm.

In the beginning several of us adopted weapons. Allegra had Bob, I had my longsword, and Mike had his broadsword. My longsword broke several times in the first year that I had it. The broken pieces were made into daggers and my longsword wasn't so long anymore. After it had broken for the 4th time Alex made a new sword for me that wasn't quite as long. It was named Musashi. For about 2 years this was my favorite weapon, although is disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The first weapon that I ever made was named The Buster Sword. Anyone who has played FF7 will understand why. This weapon started as a joke but surprisingly there are a couple people in the group who are strong enough to use it efficiently. It's a great weapon for knocking down snowmen. Of course I wouldn't know anything about that.... <.<    >.>

For a long time I was the only person who carried the weapons (with the exception of Allegra because she carried Bob). I'm fairly sure that it was the summer of 2001 when other people started to make and bring their own weapons. Brandon and Zach are the other main weapon smiths. I would have to say that out of anyone in the group Ethan has created the strangest and most creative weapons. He created the 2nd wiggle stick (it was a pole-arm of sorts that was rediculously long). He also created a weapon that we like to refer to as the "God Hand." I can't even begin to describe this weapon so hopefully I will have a picture of it soon.
