The Rules
General Rules
1. Absolutely NO head shots
2. No power swings
3. No backstabbing unless otherwise specified
4. No flails (weapons with any sort of rope used to swing something)
5. No projectiles of any kind (this includes throwing weapons)
6. All weapons must be inspected by the moderators before they can be used
in battle
7. People who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be
required to leave
8. People fight at their own risk. Injuries can happen when playing. We are not responsible for any injuries you may aquire from fighting in
our group.
9. If we believe that you are dangerous for any reason you will be
required sit out or leave
10. If we don't think that you should be fighting (like if you are sick or
injured), you may be asked not to participate with us until you are better.
One on One Fights
Before the fight
begins you should specify whether it will be a "limbs" or "kill
shots" battle. All one on one fights should begin with the opponents
tapping their swords together. In a "limbs" battle you lose the use of
any limb that gets hit by your opponent's, or your own blade. For example: if
your left leg gets hit while you are fighting, you will have to hop on your
right foot for the remainder of the fight. If you lose an arm you should hold
that arm behind your back. If you are hit anywhere on your chest, stomach or
back, you are dead. Your shoulders count as part of your arm and do not count as
a kill. In a "kill shots" battle it does not matter if your arms or
legs are hit. You may NOT block someones blade with your limbs. A hit on your
stomach, chest or back still counts as a kill.
Team Battles
Generally these
battles will start out with someone yelling, "Team Battle!" Two people
will be the captains and will pick teams. After the teams are picked the
captains will decide on the rules, then announce them to their team. Someone
will shout something along the lines of "3, 2, 1, FIGHT!" and the
battle will begin. The last two people standing will be the new captains for the
next fight.
Free-for-alls
A free-for-all
starts about the same way a team battle does. Someone will shout,
"free-for-all, everyone circle up!" If no rules are stated you should
assume that it is a kill-shots battle with no backstabbing, although the rules
are usually specified before the battle begins. The goal, obviously, is to be
the last person standing.
